Friends of the Library hold Book Lovers Bash
Saturday, February 11th 10am - 12pm
Fun for all ages, there will be mocktails and book-themed snacks. Join us for our main event -- for just $5, you will enter a queue to go from table to table in true “speed dating” style, not to pick out a person to date, but a book! Choose from various Young Adult or Adult-themed books, festively wrapped with a brief description designed to entice you to take a chance on an anonymous book -- but you only have one minute to decide before the bell sounds and you have to move on to the next table! If you get to the end of the line without having chosen a book, you won’t leave empty-handed -- a Friend will give you a consolation prize book to take home and enjoy!
Some of the books will contain a surprise inside, like a gift card -- but you won’t know which one until you make your selection!
Bring the entire family! Younger children can feel free to browse the Basement Bookstore for books of their own, and there will be a few crafts to construct as well. Plus, we’ll have a dedicated table to make a valentine for a military person overseas!
